" 'Fool,' said my Muse to me, 'look in thy heart and write.' " - Sir Philip Sidney

here you will find words, arranged and rearranged to form some approximation of what i feel or think. everything here has some connection with real life, but not everything is a complete reproduction of my reality. so read and enjoy, criticise or despise, whatever takes your fancy, just please don't judge my life by the words that have come out of it so far.

serious haiku - actual attempts to make something of the form

essays

Born Free - an essay written for my ditzy english teacher in 1999. a hopelessly pretentious topic which inspired a hopelessly pretentious essay, but it gets a guernsey here because it got an a+, probably by completely mystifying said teacher.

Cecil Saves the World - impossible as it may seem, the douglas adams influence on this essay completely escaped me as i was writing it. talk about subconscious obsession. i think there are one or two hitchhiker phrases in there, completely verbatim, completely by accident.

Homecoming Analysis - another hopelessly pretentious essay, but it's about a good poem.
